MSW, LSW, Clinician
As a social worker, it is my life's work to join clients on their journey to self-discovery and to walk alongside them as they navigate hardship. I genuinely enjoy listening to people's life stories and believe every person deserves an authentic and empathic space where they can feel heard, understood and empowered. I have experience working in community-based mental health agencies, non-profit organizations, residential treatment facilities and behavioral health hospitals. I'm passionate about being a lifelong student and am pursuing a certificate in Thanatology which provides in-depth knowledge of the elements that impact grief and loss.
I strive to provide an open and non-judgmental space for my clients where they can process life's challenges, express themselves openly and take steps towards living authentically. I'll challenge you to be honest with yourself while also trying to find laughter in difficult times. My role as a therapist isn't to tell you what to do but rather to help you discover and utilize the strengths that you already possess and develop healthy coping strategies. Therapy doesn't come in a 'one size fits all' approach and that's why I utilize several different approaches including dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strengths-based therapy and humanistic therapy. In addition to theory, my therapeutic style is compassionate, genuine and client-centered. The resiliency of the human spirit never ceases to amaze me and I feel honored to be a part of your journey.
