Airianna Quintanilla
MS, MSW Clinician

Airianna graduated from Aurora University with her undergrad in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice, 2020. Being inspired by the vast array of clientele, she pursued her education and obtained a Masters in Criminal Justice with a focus on Psychology and Law, 2021. Recognizing there was a need to provide more support to the communities, Airianna decided to pursue one more Master’s Degree is Forensic Social Work. Her primary focus is high risk clients. Airianna is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is Trauma Informed.
Airianna’s clinical experience includes employment at a residential substance use treatment facility, where she worked with Adults suffering from substance use disorders. Airianna worked with a multidisciplinary team including physiatrist, M.D’s, nurses, therapist, and support staff. Through previous employers and internships, she encountered interactions with law enforcement, child welfare, domestic violence, and at risk-youth. She has experience with case management, counseling, court service work, and group therapy. Airianna provides individual services for a non-profit and serves on a crisis intervention team where she collaborates with local law enforcement in the DuPage area.
Airianna understands that with trauma, it may have derailed individuals from being where they want and experience discomforting feelings. With her experience working with people who have co-occurring disorders and dysregulation, Airianna enjoys educating her clients about the connection between the mind and the body. It is important for Airianna to help guide her clients to heal but first educate them about the symptoms they are experiencing. Airianna utilizes evidence -based treatment of psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to achieve this. To provide further support, Airianna will utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Techniques.
Airianna recognizes traditional therapy might not be for everyone, so she works with you to identify your desires and guides you to make the best choices for yourself and allows you to be the co-pilot to your treatment. Airianna understands there is no right way to treatment however, she has utilized the approach of meeting each person where they are at. A few of her favorite all around approaches are using humor, hand on activities, being compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental. Airianna’s mission is to make sure you feel safe and comfortable so you can feel most supported in a time of need. Airianna became open to individual work when she saw the results that the positive relationships have in our lives. It is important for Airianna to see her clients be successful, even in times where it seems impossible.
