Rachel Balles

Rachel is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in 2009. She is trained in Client Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT),
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).


Rachel’s previous experiences include community mental health, residential treatment program, ER and psychiatric hospital programs. She has provided individual, family and group counseling services for at-risk youth, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience working with clients in crisis and assisting with stabilization.


Rachel works with adolescents ages 12 and up and adults of all ages. Rachel’s experience and specialties include anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, self-injury, crisis intervention, emotional regulation, school related challenges and life transitions. Rachel works collaboratively with parents and school personnel to create a treatment plan that is right for the client. She uses a collaborative approach with clients through education, teaching, problem solving and skill training. Her goal is to support clients in making positive changes to improve their quality of life and better cope with life stressors.
